The temple is situated in dark woods - known as Ban (or Jungle) - and hence it is called as 'Baneshwar'. Though the temple is very simple, it is very pretty. Baneshwar is just 35 kms to the south of Pune (take Nasrapur phata/diversion, it's 2-3 KM). This is shiv mandir made in oldest century
and also a picnic point and very good water fall.......

There are idols of Devi Laxmi , Lord Vishnu and Lord Mahadev in the temple.
There are five Shivlingas here in trench which can be easily seen with the help of light.

Baneshwar also has a sprawling lush green garden and a small stream
that can be visited while touring this place. The garden lies right
behind the temple.
